Accesa Health gets its B12 shots and lipotropic injections custom made from specialized, licensed pharmacies that only serve medical professionals. The vitamin injections are made in small, sterile batches and are sealed and rigorously tested before transport. These custom shots are stored in dark glass (not plastic) vials to ensure their quality. Our clients come to us because they know that they will get the best quality B12 shots and lipotropic injections every time.
Additionally, having given thousands of vitamin injections, we are very good at giving them. We only use single-use sterile needles and antiseptic techniques to ensure a safe and clean experience. All of our B12 shots and lipotropic injections are given into the muscle (intramuscular).

What is a B12 shot?
A B12 shot is an injection of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is a water-soluble vitamin that plays an important role in many areas of
the body, including the formation of red blood cells and nerve health.
What is a lipotropic injection?
A lipotropic injection is an intramuscular injection of vitamins (e.g. B vitamins) and amino acids. There is no standard lipotropic shot out there as
the actual formulas tend to vary based on the medical provider's experience. At Accesa Health, we offer a customized ingredient blend
that has been developed under the guidance of doctors and pharmacists to pack the best nutrition into one clean combination.
Why do people take vitamin B12 or lipotropic injections?
For many people, a vitamin injection is a safe way to replenish the body's vitamin stores. In our fast-paced world, it
is not always easy to prepare the best foods to ensure that we are getting adequate vitamins in our diet. As a result, many people likely
suffer from mild vitamin B12 deficiencies and may not even know it. While some people try oral supplements to replenish their levels (see below), many
feel that an intramuscular vitamin injection works better for them. Reported benefits from our patients include improved sleep, more energy and a better body fat
distribution.
Can't I just add a B12 or lipotropic supplement to my diet?
Some people feel that just taking a B12 or lipotropic supplement in their diet might be enough to get all of the
benefits of vitamins without an actual injection. For some people, a B12 or lipotropic supplement might well
be a good solution.
Unfortunately, there are several reasons why taking an oral vitamin supplement may not work. First of all, vitamin
supplements vary widely in purity and it is almost impossible to know the actual ingredients of your
supplement unless you can test it directly in a lab. Additionally, even if you know the quality of the B12 or
Lipotropic supplement and can add it to your diet, your body still has to break out and absorb the B12 / Lipotropic ingredients
effectively. Depending on the health of your gut, this might not be an easy task.
Lipotropic injections are particularly difficult from a supplementation standpoint. Because there is no set formula, you
will need to find or create one on your own, increasing the complexity of getting the right vitamins in your body.
How are B12 and lipo shots different from oral supplements?
In contrast to oral supplements, a direct B12 or lipotropic injection involves getting
the vitamins injected directly into your muscle. While this sounds painful, it actually is
relatively painless for most people. One good part about getting a vitamin shot in this way is
that you bypass any absorption issues that your gut might have, leading to a full dose in your body. Additionally,
if you get your vitamin injection from a high-quality source, you can feel confident that you are getting
purified vitamins and not something else or even toxins or impurities.
What are side effects of vitamin shots?
Assuming that you have received a high-quality B12 shot, the most common side effect (which is uncommon) is pain at the injection site.
Also, there are people with rare medical conditions who can have more severe side effects and should not receive a B12 shot. At Accesa Health, our
rigorous screening protocols will check for these conditions before we administer one to you.
Is a vitamin shot good for me?
For anyone who is on the fence about getting an intramuscular lipotropic or B12 injection, we would recommend trying one from a reputable place. There are handful of reasons
why someone should not get a vitamin shot (we screen everyone before administering one) but, for the most part, they are very safe and any excess vitamin will be
excreted by your body.
How often should I get a vitamin shot?
At most, we recommend getting our B12 / lipo injection once per week. If you find they work for you, we recommend getting one at least once per month. These
are just guidelines as the best thing you can do is pay attention to how your body feels after you get the vitamin shot
and when you notice any effects wearing off.
What's the difference between a vitamin shot and IV vitamins?
While vitamin shots like B12 and lipo are injected into a muscle (intramuscular), IV vitamin injections involve placing a needle in your
blood vessel and administering vitamins and minerals directly into your blood. Because of how our bodies work, some vitamins and minerals cannot
be absorbed from an intramuscular injection. If you are interested in IV vitamin hydration, please check out our
Myers' cocktail program. You can also consider boosting your antioxidant profile with
through our glutathione injection program.
Do B12 shots work for weight loss?
We are not aware of any definitive scientific evidence that say that B12 shots work for weight loss so we cannot say that they will.
However, we do have a number of patients who report that they started losing weight after getting our vitamin injections and they continue to come back for more.
Because B12 and other B vitamins (found in the Lipo shot) are involved in processes that help metabolize macromolecules in food (e.g. carbohydrates, fats and proteins),
it is certainly possible that a B12 shot or lipotropic injection does help with weight loss in some people. If losing weight is your primary goal,
we recommend checking out our medical weight loss program.
What kind of medical research is out there discussing vitamin B12 supplementation?
There are a number of scientific studies in reputable medical journals discussing symptoms related to
deficiencies of vitamin B12 and other B vitamins. However, large research studies have not been done to investigate the
value of B vitamin shots because vitamin injections are not profitable enough for large manufacturers to justify the cost of a
large-scale clinical study, even if there are widespread benefits. As a result, most of the documented experiences with B12 injections
and lipotropic shots come from direct experiences with patients.
Some might argue that, as a result, all of the symptomatic effects from a B12 or lipotropic shot are simply from the placebo effect. Said another way,
some might feel that these injections work because the person receiving the injection really wanted it to work. We actually
wondered about this ourselves when we started our vitamin program. Now, after having given tens of thousands of
vitamin injections over many years, we strongly believe that while some people may benefit from a placebo effect, a number of people actually
experience real benefits that inspire them to drive out of their way to visit us again and again to achieve the results they are seeking.
We offer our premium vitamin injections a la carte or through our membership programs. These membership programs help motivated customers save money and achieve a new level of wellness through a regular commitment to their health and wellness. To learn more, check our out Membership page.
