2011-2012 Flu Shots - Now Available
We have our standard and preservative-free flu shots for the 2011-2012 flu season. The price for the standard flu shot is $25 and the preservative-free (thimerosal-free) flu shot is $30.
For the 2011-2012 influenza vaccine, Accesa Health selected the Sanofi Fluzone vaccine. We chose this vaccine because it has an excellent safety profile and because Sanofi ensures that all packages shipped to our facility are rigorously sealed. We go through these measures to ensure that our flu shots have the best chance of producing the immunity that our clients will need for the flu season.
So far this year, all of the shipments we have received have met our rigorous packaging standards. Once we confirmed their sterility and temperature stability, we immediately moved them into our vaccine refrigeration unit, away from light.
We work hard to take care of our flu shots so that you will get the "freshest" one available. We think that this is important because the effectiveness of a flu shot is highly dependent on its potency at the time it is administered.
We take great pride in our vaccine quality and our administration technique (you can learn more on our Vaccines page). Unfortunately, Accesa Health cannot administer a flu shot to pregnant or nursing women or children under the age of 6 months.
